Concept Art for Skater Girl

Skater Girl rolls down sidewalks with glittering speed.
Sometimes there’s more boys than girls at the park, and that’s okay.
“Lucy, our house is not a park!”
Twinkle, twinkle, little pirate. How I wonder where I’ll skate next.
She whirls like a gnarly ballerina on wheels.
Tutu, tic-tac, twirl!
Sometimes, she gets tossed by a giant concrete wave
When Skater Girl practices on her mother’s favorite rug…
So, she gives her mom a hug.
Ready for today!
“Lucy, our house is not a park!”
“Outta my way, boys!”
All the breezy feels
She twirls like a gnarly ballerina on wheels.
Skater Girl must be brave.
“Watch me surf this wave, mermaids!”
Sometimes there’s more boys than girls at the skatepark, and that’s okay.
