I’m so honored that two of my poems, “DR: La Republica Dominicana” and “A Poem for the Waitresses on First Street,” are featured in this extraordinary anthology that offers a platform for so many strong women to share their voices. “DR” in particular is a very special poem for me, and this is the only place I felt comfortable sharing it. So, I’m happy it’s found a worthy home in the world.
